The Foundation's main objectives
are:
- To promote,
conduct, and foster research, education, knowledge, and publication in the
field of intellectual property, innovation, and patent, trademark, and copyright
systems of the United States and other nations.
- To educate
and inform the general public and consumers of the importance and purpose
of intellectual property protection.
- The publication
of an on-line journal on intellectual property research and developments around
the world, with emphasis on feedback and interactive participation.
- The production
of symposia and the dissemination of audiovisual materials designed to inform
the public about intellectual property, innovation and patent, trademark and
copyright systems.
- The commissioning,
either by the Foundation itself, or by government bodies, corporations, professional
firms, and others working through the Foundation, of research in the intellectual
property field.
